The Great Wolf Lodge

We had a great time at the Great Wolf Lodge!! The kids loved the room, we stayed in the Wolf Den. They thought that it was great to have their own little room with bunks and their own tv. We had fun in the waterpark. Hailey is a brave little girl, she really has no fear. She went on the howlin Tornado 3 times, I was a little apprehensive to go on it but she reassured me that it would be fine. Mostly we just had a great time spending time together! Come and visit and we can go, it is about 1 1/2 hours away. Nice little drive for a really fun time!

Inside the Wolf Den

This was at the wave pool where I nearly had a heart attack watching. So as you can see I had all of them put life jackets on and then I looked away. Watching made me too nervous!

Running Buddies

So I thought that I would post a little about my running buddies. We joined a group called Portland Fit which is a marathon training program training for the Portland Marathon in October. We have decided that we are taking a girls trip and running the Logan marathon in September instead. We run our long runs with a big group in downtown Portland on Saturday mornings. Although I have been running for years it has been a lot of fun running with other people and chatting while carpooling there. It has also been great running downtown along the waterfront and exploring places that I would not normally run on my own. The above picture is us before our 1/2 marathon a couple of weeks ago.

Here we are after. Mission accomplished!!

First Grader

First Day of School-September 2007

Hailey and her teacher Ms. Hesson

So Hailey had her last day of kindergarten last Friday. It is hard to believe that she will be in first grade next year and that she will be gone all day. I being the overprotective Mom that I am wish that she would stay little but I know that this is not an option so I just try to enjoy each moment that we have. She has learned so much this year and I am so proud of her!!!

I have also come a long way, I remember I was very apprehensive of my little girl riding the bus but she really wanted to so I had to let her spread her wings. I am thankful for her adventurous spirit and her eas going loving personality. I am sure that I will again have to fight back the tears as she boards the bus as a big first grader next year but for now we are going to enjoy the summer and the fun times that are to come.

Catching up!

I have so much that I need to catch up on so pardon my randomness!

Hailey has become quite the gymnast! We have been pleasantly surprised by her progress! She is actually really good at cartwheels and round-offs as well as the bars. When she first started we had to watchout for flying feet and hands as they could go just about anywhere.

It is hard to believe that the school year has gone by so fast! My kids don't quite understand the summer break thing, they think that they will just be starting their new classes next week. Jackson is looking at his memory book at his last day of preschool!

We finally renewed our Zoo membership!! Yeah! We had a lot of fun and the sun was shining!!

Last weekend the boys went to the Fathers and Sons campout, this left Hailey and I all to ourselves. She was very excited and had the whole night planned out.

First, she wanted to go and get pedicures. I think that I am in trouble when my 6 year old is wanting pedicures, I did not have my first pedicure until I was in my 20's!
Then it was off to her restaurant of choice, Red Robin! I was hoping that she would get the steak fries so that I could have one but she opted for the apple slices. Bummer! Then we did a little Father's Day shopping and then it was off to Dairy Queen because she saw a commercial for a waffle bowl sundae and really wanted to go there. She asked if we had to share I said no but her eyes were definitely bigger than her stomach! It was a fun night and the boys had a lot of fun and even got pretty good sleep.

Black Eye

So the other night I was downstairs watching something on tv, it was about 10:30 and I thought that everyone was asleep. Well I heard little footsteps come down the stairs, I turned around to find Noah. He said "I didn't mean to", in his cute little 2 year old voice. Obviously he had gotten into my makeup and tried to apply his own mascara. Cute little mischievous Noah!!
