Jackson was so excited to finally be going to school!

...cookie bouquet from Grammie
My Mom has a tradition of sending a first day of school bouquet to all of her grandkids on their 1st day of kindergarten. Jackson loved it and he shared very well which is always a bonus.
Jack with his look alike cookie Noah was happy to have his own cookie, although he just ate the frosting off. Hailey has never turned down a treat, my kind of girl!

Lily's Blessing

Amazingly Noah actually was relatively calm during the blessing!
We are also blessed to have family and friends that live here that were able to come.

Jackson did not want to have his picture taken!
Of course I had to throw some sort of shin dig so I decided to have a dessert bar. It was fun to put together and Mom, Katie and I have a fun time planning and baking. As you can see from the pictures there was a pink and brown theme. Click to enlarge the pictures to view all the yummy treats!
I would love to be a party planner someday!

Dog Days of Summer

We had some fun adventures the last week of summer! I was feeling very guilty that I had not done enough fun things with them this summer, I know I had a good excuse but the guilt was still there. We went to a fun park on the river 2 days in a row, the kids had a blast playing in the water and collecting shells and sticks.
Lily and Mike hung out and tried to keep out of the sun.

I kept my promise and took them to the zoo before school started. It was much more fun because my Mom and sister were visiting so they came too!

Chocolate Chips!

So I do love chocolate and during my pregnancy I didn't care for it that much. That has now changed! Last Sunday I was making chocolate chips cookies and had Lily in the baby carrier so i could have both of my hands free. Well when I make cookies I can never resist sneaking a few chocolate chips into my mouth. Well I dropped one and could not find it. Lily woke up and I took her out of the carrier and you guessed it, found the chocolate chip!
She was obviously hungry but I had to snap a picture. It is amazing what a mess one chip can make!
