New Do

Hailey got a cute new do. I think that we are finally done growing out the bangs! Hallelujah!!

She loves her shorter locks, and I can still put it up if I want to. Now if the warm weather would come it would feel like summer.

Got Shoes?

So before I donate some of these to the Nike recycling program I had to take a picture of all 12 pairs of my running shoes. A little crazy! Before you go thinking that I bought all of them, I did not! Some of you may not know that the World Headquarters for Nike is in Beaverton. Before we moved we lived 1.5 miles away. Anyway when we moved here I emailed them to see if I could test their running shoes for them. So I have been testing their shoes for about 3 1/2 years, one of the perks is free shoes thus the reason that I have so many pairs of shoes. My next goal is to become one of the runners that they pay on a per mile basis to run in their shoes. Wish me luck!

The Tooth fairy is going broke!!

So I don't know what is normal but I don't think that it is totally normal for my 6 1/2 year old to have already lost her front 8 teeth. I know it may be vain but I like baby teeth on little kids. Their permanent teeth are made for their adult faces not their child faces. It seems funny to have such big teeth on my little girl. I know she is not so little anymore and that she will probably be bigger than me by the time she is 10. Atleast there are a lot of people who think so. It is okay I have come to grips with the fact that I will be the shortest one in my family. Anyway it is fun to watch her grow up and change even if I wish that she would stay little for a while longer!!

As many of you can see Jackson has glasses for an eye condition called strabismus. We hope that he will not always have to wear glasses and today He told me that he hopes so too! We were at the glasses store today to get another pair of glasses. Mind you we just picked up pair #3 on Saturday(we got pairs 1 & 2 in Nov. and they are both broken) He does pretty well keeping them on but we he gets mad he likes to take them off and throw them and Noah likes to take them off of Jack's face when Jack is invading his personal space which is all to often. Needless to say the glasses were hammered even before they broke. Before this is all over we may spend his college fund on glasses! Any way today I felt bad for him, as we were trying on glasses he said,"Mom I just want normal eyes like Hailey and Noah." What do you say to that but tht we hope that the glasses will work and eventually he won't have to wear them. He is darn cute in them even if he does not like them!!

We had some really warm weather last weekend so of course we had to get out and enjoy it while it lasted! We went to the fountains to play in the water.

I had to run in the house to grab something and apparently while I was gone it became too hot and Noah had to remove his trunks! Good roast photo for years to come!

Kids say the funniest things!!

So for Mothers Day my kids made me various drawings and art projects. My favorite, I am probably not supposed to say that I have a favorite, but they are not going to read this. Anyway my fav is a book that Hailey made titled All About My Mom.

This is my Mom!

My Mom has brown hair and blue eyes. (True!)

She is 5 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds! (Good try!)

My Mom likes to go shopping and cook. ( I would change this to shop and bake)

My Mom is very smart! She knows all about me and gardening. (Guess I better read up)

My Mom likes to eat salads. ( I do love my veggies)

My Mom;s favorite TV show is Deal or No Deal. (Probably better than the truth!)

My Mom is happy when it is sunny. ( Obviously I have been whining about the weather)

It really bugs my Mom when I don't do the silverware. ( This is currently Hailey's chore)

If my Mom could have 1 wish come true , it would be to have a happy Mother's Day.

The best thing about my Mom is that she loves me forever. ( True, and I'm glad that she knows it!!)

I love my kids and strive to gain the patience that being a Mom requires. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to raise these special spirited children. Thanks to my Mom for her love and patience that she has had with me, especially when I was growing up.

Love you MOM!!!

Remembering Mom

It is hard to believe that it has been 3 years today since Mike's mom passed away. We miss her dearly and I wish that my kids had known her longer. We try and talk about her to keep her memory alive. A few things that I loved about Mom were the way that she made everyone feel like they were her best friend, her cooking, her love, her patience(I do not know how she raised 7 wonderful children, not only that but 5 boys in a row, I can barely handle two! ) I miss her singing, her reading of children's books, her passion for life, her laugh, I could go on but the list would be very long. Lets just say that she is irreplaceable and will always be missed no matter how many years go by. We love you Mom!!!
