Kids say the funniest things!!

So for Mothers Day my kids made me various drawings and art projects. My favorite, I am probably not supposed to say that I have a favorite, but they are not going to read this. Anyway my fav is a book that Hailey made titled All About My Mom.

This is my Mom!

My Mom has brown hair and blue eyes. (True!)

She is 5 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds! (Good try!)

My Mom likes to go shopping and cook. ( I would change this to shop and bake)

My Mom is very smart! She knows all about me and gardening. (Guess I better read up)

My Mom likes to eat salads. ( I do love my veggies)

My Mom;s favorite TV show is Deal or No Deal. (Probably better than the truth!)

My Mom is happy when it is sunny. ( Obviously I have been whining about the weather)

It really bugs my Mom when I don't do the silverware. ( This is currently Hailey's chore)

If my Mom could have 1 wish come true , it would be to have a happy Mother's Day.

The best thing about my Mom is that she loves me forever. ( True, and I'm glad that she knows it!!)

I love my kids and strive to gain the patience that being a Mom requires. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to raise these special spirited children. Thanks to my Mom for her love and patience that she has had with me, especially when I was growing up.

Love you MOM!!!

Just stopping by and loving your entry. What a sweet book that your daughter made for you. My daughter brought her portfolio home from first grade. I cried. My boys, 9 and 14, got me nothing. They are now too "cool" for it. Doesn't bother me, I know they love me.

They show me (everyday) when no one is looking. They forget they brought me porfolios, too.

Anyway, glad you had a great mother's day! KC

I love Haileys book!!! Doesn't it just make you feel good when they are able to let you know they appreciate and love you!! Even if it is in between "your the meanest mom", which is what my kids are going through!

That is funny. Ryan's is similar. He also remembered I like salad, but according to him I am 23 pounds and 10 feet tall. You will have to teach me some of your gardening skills ;)

I'm so glad you found my blog. I love Hailey's poem. It reminds me of my son, Jackson's. I have been thinking about you lately, because a girl in my ward knows you and wants to get in touch with you. I need to give her your address. Her name is Marnel Bissell. I can't remember her maiden name.

Hey Stephanie,
I just found your blog on Natalie Clarke's! Wow! It has been too long. Your kids are so cute! Where are you guys? I would love to hear from you sometime, that is if you remember me. Nice work on your Marathon.

Hope to hear from you soon.

So good to hear from you! Your family is adorable!
I am curious about your time for the marathon... I know you are speedy (you have to be to qualify for Boston.) NICE WORK!! I've entered the running world over the last couple years. I just did the Columbus 1/2 Marathon last month and loved it. I thought of you and wished you still lived close to help get me through training. I'm adding you to my list of blogs so I can come back often!! Tell Mike hi from the Dehners.
